How does whitening work?
The best method for long-lasting white teeth is home whitening. We make a custom-fitted whitening tray for you, which you wear comfortably at home.
- Preparation at our dental practice
- Before we whiten your teeth, I examine them thoroughly. We check whether fillings and tooth enamel are intact. If necessary, we replace leaking fillings – so the whitening agent stays where it belongs. We then remove tartar and polish your teeth to achieve an even result.
- Making your individual whitening tray
- We take an impression of your teeth and have a perfectly fitting whitening tray made in a specialist dental laboratory. This ensures that the whitening agent works precisely where intended and your gums stay protected.
- Whitening at home
- You wear your tray for five nights, but with a day's break in between. This prevents your teeth from becoming oversensitive to hot or cold. After about ten days the final result is reached – and your smile is visibly brighter!

- Is the whitening agent safe?We use 10% carbamide peroxide, which converts into 3.5% hydrogen peroxide – a proven whitening agent that works safely and gently. Thanks to the individually fitted tray, your gums stay protected. Recent studies even show that the whitening agent has an antibacterial effect in the spaces between the teeth!
